Canadians who purchased Keurig K-Cup single-serve coffee pods or Keurig brewing systems have until July 8 at 11:59 p.m. EDT to file a claim in a class-action settlement over recyclability allegations.
In October 2025, Keurig faced a lawsuit alleging the company sold pods and brewers in Canada with "misleading representations as to the recyclability and/or disposability" of the products. The Ontario Superior Court approved a $1.85-million settlement in December. After court-approved legal fees are deducted, the remaining funds will be distributed to eligible class members.
Eligible purchasers bought K-Cup pods or Keurig machines sold in Canada between June 8, 2016 and December 8, 2025. Without proof of purchase, claimants can receive up to $7 per claim for pods. With receipt proof for at least one pod, they can receive 50 cents per 10 pods purchased, up to a maximum of $50 per claim. Brewer claims can reach up to $25. Claims must be filed online at the settlement website; claimants will need personal information and proof of purchase. E-transfer payments include a $3.75 deduction; cheque payments also carry the same deduction.
