Stampede week's rolling, roads are clear, tonight's packed

Morning's 14°C and mainly sunny, so you're golden for getting around. UV's running at 7.0 though—that's high—so if you're heading out before the sun sets at 9:51 tonight, grab the sunscreen. Lots of daylight to play with.

One thing on the commute: there's a collision on HWY-201 southbound just past 114 Ave SE with one left lane closed. Emergency crews are out there now, so expect the usual backup if that's your route. Rest of the roads are moving okay.

Stampede week's in full swing. If you haven't caught the rodeo yet, it runs at 1:30 this afternoon at GMC Stadium—always worth watching. Worth noting too: breakaway roper Cheyanne McCartney's back after a redemption year and took two rounds, and steer wrestler Clay Guthrie's making his rodeo debut chasing the win. It's a good week to be downtown.

If food's on your mind, the Stampede's got dozens of midway eats going for five bucks tomorrow at the Twilight event—worth remembering for Thursday. If you're craving something now, East Village just got a new spot called Good Bar pairing Rosso coffee with protein add-ons if that's your lane. And the Culinary Cup's running at the Stampede too—local chefs competing, which is always fun to watch.

Tonight's the real show. Stampede Park's firing on all cylinders: Nashville North opens at 5, the Badlands Music Festival kicks off at 6 with Above & Beyond under the tent, and if you're into it there's Hank Azaria at Wildhorse Saloon at 6 as well. Cowboys Park goes 18+ from 7 with John Summit Night 2. Roundup MusicFest's also running over at Prince's Island Park from 3 in the afternoon if you want to start early. Weather's clear and dry, so outdoor stages are a go.

It's a solid Wednesday. Get outside, catch some sun—just respect the UV—and if the evening calls, the Stampede's humming.

Stay sorted out there.
