Monday's here — partly cloudy and a solid 14, soccer tonight.

Morning. We're at 14°C and partly cloudy — nothing stopping you from getting where you need to go. UV's running high at 8.0, so sunscreen's worth it if you're spending time outside today. Sunset's not until 9:47 tonight, so the evening's got real daylight to spare.

Roads are moving fine this morning. Nothing's flagged that'll slow your commute, so you're set to get in.

The Stampede wrapped up over the weekend with 1.4 million visitors — third-busiest attendance ever for ten days in Cowtown. Still hearing good things about some of the midway food that actually landed: fried pizza was genuinely good, and the Milk & Cookies Shack has been doing their simple classics for over twenty years running. Cannoli Cowboy's been out there too if you want handcrafted desserts. Worth knowing milk prices are up nineteen cents at the major retailers, so grocery runs are feeling the pinch.

There's soccer tonight if you're keen: Cavalry FC are home at Spruce Meadows at 7:30 against Vancouver Whitecaps. Weather's staying dry and the evening light will hold until nearly ten, so that's a solid outdoor match to catch. The Stampede evening shows are also rolling at GMC Stadium at the same time, so if you're still riding that Stampede buzz, there's another night of it.

Monday's got the week starting strong — live music's on, the weather's cooperating, and there's enough daylight left that you're not rushing anywhere. Get out and sort yourself before the grind picks up.

See you tonight.
