Sunday's yours: matinee, river walk, or stick around for live music.

It's a proper summer Sunday morning—15 degrees, full sun, and you've got nearly sixteen hours of daylight to work with. UV's sitting at 7, which is high, so if you're heading out for that river walk or patio time, you'll want the sunscreen. Sunset's not until 9:32 PM, so you've got room to move without rushing.

Roads look clear this morning. Foothills conditions are worth a quick check if you're thinking of heading west toward the mountains or out to Bragg Creek way, but nothing's flagged as a major holdup.

On the local front, there's been some chatter about the new Kansas City Chiefs stadium design—turns out it's giving people serious Saddledome vibes, which feels very on-brand for Calgs. In other news, if you've got little ones, there's a mother's petition for an 'Indigo Alert' system for missing children with autism that's picked up real momentum—hit 14,000 signatures already. Worth knowing about.

If brunch is calling, An Sang just opened on the Red Mile with Vietnamese breakfast and pho-focused morning service—worth checking out if you haven't swung by yet. Grey Eagle's Buffet is still running through the end of the year despite some upcoming renovation plans, so that's another option. And if you're feeling fancy, there's a whole lineup of afternoon tea spots around town serving it up from proper patios and flower-decked cafes—very Sunday energy.

For the evening, you've got solid options depending on your mood. Clue (the touring show) is on at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium at 2:00 PM if you want to catch a matinee, or there's an evening show at 7:30 PM if you'd rather ease into the day first. If live music's more your speed and you're staying out late, Willow Avalon's doing the Pink Pocket Pistol Tour over at Commonwealth Bar & Stage at 8:00 PM—should be a good time.

With this weather and the daylight you've got, Sunday's the day to actually get out and do something. Grab coffee, move around a bit, and if the evening pulls you back downtown for dinner or a show, you've still got plenty of time to land it before dark. Enjoy it.

Catch you on the flip.
