Cool Tuesday, clear skies, live music tonight.

It's 10°C out there, so you'll want a jacket if you're heading out early. The sun's sticking around until 8:37 PM though, which means you've got a proper evening ahead if you're planning anything. UV's sitting at 6, which is high—if you're out for lunch or a walk, sunscreen's not a bad call even with the cool air.

Roads are clear this morning, so your commute should move the way it's supposed to. Nothing major backing things up downtown or on the ring road, so you're good to go.

Worth knowing: the city's installing traffic-calming measures at 50 Calgary schools today as part of a push to slow things down in school zones. Pedestrian safety's been a real issue, so this is a solid move—keep an eye out if you're driving past any schools. On a different note, if you've been missing Rajdoot in Mission, the good news is it's back open. Loyal customers rallied to save the place, and it's doors are open again. Also happened to catch that WestJet flight attendants ratified a new contract yesterday with 90% support after a brief strike, so that's settled.

If you're thinking food today, Starbucks rolled out the fall menu this morning—pumpkin, banana bread, new chai blends, all the seasonal hits. McDonald's is also running a World Heist menu if you want to try some global dishes. And if you're in the Beltline, Mount Pleasant Vintage just opened up—it's that bar-and-thrift hybrid from Vancouver that's been getting buzz.

Tonight's a good one for getting out. GlobalFEST kicks off at Elliston Park at 6:00 PM if you want live music in the open air, and the skies are clear so you'll actually enjoy it. If you're more in a metal mood, AngelMaker's Canadian Heritage Tour is running at Dickens Pub at 6:00 PM with Ingested, Larecenia Roe, and Art of Attrition. Two solid options depending on what you're after.

This is a proper cool-down from the last few days, so dress for it and enjoy the clear evening. See you out there.
