Friday heat and a football night — here's your day sorted.

It's Friday, it's warm, and it feels warmer than it is — 22°C officially but 29° with the humidity. That UV's running high today (9.0), so if you're heading out midday, the sunscreen isn't optional. You've got 15 and a half hours of daylight to work with, sunset at 8:43 PM, so the evening's yours to stretch.

One thing to clock before you head out: water's getting tight across the city. The conservation order just expanded to 23 boroughs in the MTL area, so you already know the drill — keep your showers short, let the lawn breathe. It's not a crisis yet, but it's real.

If you're eating lunch, there's some solid talk about rotisseries worth a detour if you want proper roasted chicken done right. Pizza's another conversation if you've got the time to line up — there's spots around the city that'll make you understand why people lose their minds over it. And if you haven't caught the viral dot cake thing, there's a bakery in Longueuil selling a hundred of them a day. Not exaggerating. It's become a whole thing.

Tonight's where it gets good. The Argonauts are in town — Toronto's coming to Percival Molson at 7 PM for football, and if that's your speed, it's the main event. Stadium's going to be alive in this weather. If live music's more your thing, Chase & Status is playing at Parc Jean-Drapeau at 5 PM (18+), or there's a Pink Floyd experience — Dark Side of the Moon — at Le Dome at both 5:30 and 7 PM. You've also got Vendredi Soul Motown Vibes over at Le Balcon X Terrasse starting at 6 PM if you want something a little smoother.

Weather-wise, it's mostly cloudy but dry, so outdoor plans won't get rained on. Bring sunglasses if you're out midday, and if you're heading to the stadium or a park tonight, you'll want a light layer — it'll cool down some after sunset, but nothing dramatic.

Weekend's shaping up nice. Friday's your kickoff.
