Sunday sun before the long weekend — get outside while it lasts.

Good morning. It's Sunday — 17°C, mainly sunny, and you've got a solid 15 hours and 39 minutes of daylight to work with before the sun drops at 8:47 PM. The UV is sitting at 8.0 (high), so if you're heading out, you'll want sunscreen even if the temperature feels modest. This is the kind of day that makes you want to be somewhere outside.

Few things to know before you move: there was a stabbing near Sherbrooke and Berri last night — suspect's in custody — and a motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash in Longueuil. Nothing blocking your day-to-day, but good to be aware.

If you're thinking lunch or brunch, there's some decent reading out there on Montreal sandwich spots worth hunting down, plus a solid breakdown of the city's best hot dogs if that's more your speed. There's also chatter about a Chinatown staple dealing with some health violations, so might be worth checking what's open near you. And if you haven't caught it yet — Dunkin' is coming back to Montreal after being gone for a while, so that's happening in the market soon.

For tonight, you've got real options. The Alouettes play Ottawa at Percival Molson at 7:00 PM if you want to catch some CFL. But if you're leaning cultural, Cirque du Soleil's *Echo* is running shows at the Old Port and Jacques Cartier Pier — both matinee and evening slots available. There's also *Les Misérables* at the Theatre St. Denis at 2:00 PM if you want to catch that this afternoon before the sun gets lower.

For the evening proper, it's pretty lively. There's a Pink Floyd *Dark Side of the Moon* immersive thing at Le Dome at 5:30 PM, and if you want live music and a good vibe, there's a soul, jazz, and R&B night at Le Balcon X Terrasse at 6:00 PM. With sunset not until 8:47 PM, you've got time to move between spots if you're feeling it.

Weather's on your side all day — no rain, good light, just bring the sunscreen and maybe a light layer for when the sun drops. This is the kind of Sunday that sets up a good Canada Day week coming.

Enjoy it. À plus.
