Friday's here—pick your scene, catch the sunset.

Alright, it's Friday and we're dropping into the 15s—notably cooler than what we've been riding this week, so you might actually want that jacket for tonight. Partly cloudy, UV's running high at 7.0, so sunscreen if you're outside all day. Sun doesn't set until 8:39 PM though, which means you've got a proper long evening to work with.

Heads up on the South Shore: Longueuil airport's still sorting out operations after yesterday's small plane landing accident, so if you've got travel plans in that direction, check ahead. Nothing's blocking your commute into the city, but worth knowing.

On the food front—and this matters if you're hitting a dep or the SAQ today—there's a Quebec allergy alert on unmarked eggs and sulfites in quiche and pâtés from a Rawdon company, and Staphylococcus aureus has been found in some Quebec-made cheese (Grondines and Lachevrotière). Check your labels if you grabbed any of those, and watch what you buy today.

Small thing: Longueuil police identified the guy who's been impersonating mail carriers and stealing mail with PINs in it. If that's been freaking you out, there's your answer.

Tonight's genuinely packed. You've got Cirque du Soleil's *Echo* starting at 4 PM on Jacques Cartier Pier—waterfront, plenty of daylight still—and it runs into evening. If live music's your thing, *Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon* kicks off at 5:30 PM at Le Dôme, or hit the Motown vibes at Le Balcon X Terrasse starting at 6:00. Just For Laughs Festival's running comedy at Le Studio TD at 7:00 if you want to laugh instead. And if you're into soccer, FC Supra's playing Vancouver FC at Stade Boréale (the old Complexe Multi-Sports de Laval) at 7:00 PM too.

With the cooler temp and partly cloudy sky, rooftop patios are still solid for a 5 à 7 if you're thinking of kicking off the weekend properly. The UV's high enough that you'll notice it in full sun, but the breeze should feel good.

Pick your poison early tonight—Friday's booked, and good spots fill up quick.

Enjoyer votre vendredi.
