Tuesday Heat, Village Goodbyes, and a Comedy Night Out

Morning. It's 20°C and cloudy out there—UV's sitting at 7, which is high, so if you're outside for a stretch today throw on sunscreen even if the sun's playing hide-and-seek. You've got good light till 8:35 PM, so plan accordingly if you're heading out tonight.

St-Hubert's location down in the Village is closing September 6th because of city construction in the area. If you've got a routine there, you've got a couple months left to make your peace with it.

Quick heads-up on food: there's an E. coli warning on ground beef sold at a market in Saint-Léonard, so be careful where you're sourcing it. Also watch for Grondines and Lachevrotière cheese products—Staphylococcus aureus showed up in Quebec-made batches. Check what you've got in the fridge.

If dinner's on your mind, L'Express on Saint-Denis hits different on a Tuesday—feels like you're actually in a Parisian bistro without the plane ticket. For pho, Le Bay Cà Phê and the other spots around the city are still pulling crowds if that's your move. And if tonight's about rooftop patios and cocktails with a view, Montreal's got no shortage of those right now with the summer light staying so late.

As for tonight: you've got options. Maria Bamford's at Juste Pour Rire (Le Studio TD, 7 PM) if comedy's your thing—she's got a solid reputation. Mardi Latin Groove is happening at Le Balcon X Terrasse at 7 PM if you want live music and a vibe that doesn't require you to shout over noise. If you're into something heavier, TWISTED TEENS is at Foufounes Electriques at 8 PM, or CHRIS ACKER & THE GROWING BOYS at P'tit Ours the same time. Pick your energy level and go from there. The weather's holding through the evening, so if you're bouncing between spots or heading to a rooftop, you're good.

Stay safe out there. Catch you tonight.
