Thursday's cooler, comedy's hot, and transit just got smarter.

Dip in the temperature, Jerry Seinfeld's in town tonight, and your phone can now be your OPUS card.

Thursday's cooler, comedy's hot, and transit just got smarter.

Cooler morning—13°C and mostly cloudy, so throw on a layer before you head out. UV's sitting at 7, which is high, so if you're spending the afternoon outside, don't sleep on sunscreen. Sun doesn't dip until 8:33 tonight, so you've got plenty of daylight to work with.

If you're hopping the métro today, Android users have something new to play with: your phone can now act as a virtual OPUS card. No more fumbling for the plastic—just tap your device at the reader and you're through. Rolls out gradually across the system, so if it doesn't work for you yet, it's coming.

Couple of things worth knowing. Moving Day's still hitting shelters hard—Proanima's dealing with a record number of pet surrenders as people scramble to find new spots and can't take their animals with them. If you know anyone struggling with that, worth reaching out. On another front, there's a cheese recall in Quebec: Grondines and Lachevrotière have been flagged for Staphylococcus aureus, so check your fridge if you've picked up either of those lately. And if you bought beef in the last while, there's an $8 million settlement available for price-fixing—worth looking into if you've got receipts.

For lunch or dinner, L'Express on Saint-Denis is still doing that old-school Parisian bistro thing without the airfare. If you're craving pho, Le Bay Cà Phê's drawing crowds. And if the cooler weather's got you thinking about something warm, Montreal's Thai spots are solid if you want to shake things up. Rooftop patios are still open if you want to catch the last of the daylight with a drink and a view—just bring that layer; the wind picks up once the sun starts dropping.

Tonight's a comedy night in the city. Jerry Seinfeld's at Place des Arts at 6:30 PM, Joel Kim Booster's got a show at Le Studio TD at 7:00, and if you want something more experimental, there's soul and jazz vibes at Le Balcon X Terrasse at 6:00. If you're into immersive experiences, Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon is running at Le Dome at 5:30—fully produced, fully trippy, good for a Thursday night escape.

Football heads: AFC Toronto's playing the Roses de Montreal FC at Stade Boreale at 7:00 PM if you want to catch a match.

Stay warm out there, and enjoy the evening.
