Tuesday's warm, tonight's got live music—plan your evening.
20°C feeling like 27, mostly cloudy. Sunset at 8:28 PM. Solid lineup after dark.
Morning's yours to get sorted before it heats up. We're sitting at 20 degrees but the humidity's pushing it to feel like 27, so dress in layers if you're heading out early—by afternoon you'll want those layers off. UV's at 3, moderate, so if you're outside for lunch don't skip the sunscreen. Sunset's at 8:28 tonight, so you've got nearly 15 hours of daylight to work with.
Commute's looking normal—nothing flagged for the métro or major routes this morning, so you're good to move as usual.
Couple things worth knowing today. The National Bank Open's underway and the ball kids keeping those courts hummed are the real MVPs of the tournament—they're out there all day in the heat and barely get a mention, but the tournament doesn't run without them. On the water side, drownings in Quebec are tracking worse than last year at this point—we're at 46 already, three more than the same time last summer. Worth reminding anyone in your life heading to the lake or the river to take it seriously.
If you're thinking lunch, La Soupière just opened on Ste-Catherine West with customizable Sichuan hot pot—perfect if you want to build your own bowl and actually taste what you're eating. Or if you want that Paris-bistro vibe without the flight, L'Express on Saint-Denis still does it right. Fair warning on cheese: there's Staphylococcus aureus showing up in some Quebec-made Grondines and Lachevrotière, so check your fridge if you've got those.
Tonight's where it gets good. Live music's pumping—AC/DC's Power Up experience is running at Theatre Fairmount at 7, there's a Latin groove thing happening at Le Balcon X Terrasse if you want something looser, and if you're into indie rock, KALEO's got a show at MTELUS with Vincent Lima. Test Dept's also playing Bar le Ritz PDB at 8 if you want something heavier. Or if sports is more your speed, Montreal Alliance is hosting Vancouver Bandits at the Verdun Auditorium at 7:30.
Weather's holding mostly cloudy, so outdoor patios are fine but bring a light jacket for later when the sun drops. You've got almost till 8:30 to catch it.
Sorry—hit you with a lot. Pick your evening and go enjoy it.
