Friday's clear and crisp—perfect for a night out.

It's a proper Friday morning, and we're dropping down to 13°C—noticeably cooler than the past few days, so grab a layer if you're heading out early. Clear skies overhead, which means that UV's running high at 7.0, so sunscreen if you're outside for any stretch. Sun's down at 7:52 tonight, so you've got a solid 13 hours and 50 minutes of daylight to work with.

Nothing major disrupting your way in this morning, so you're good to move.

On the news side: a lawyer arrested in connection with a Saint-Michel death is in court today. Up in Gatineau, three men are facing drug-trafficking charges. And the city's dealing with some heavier stuff—there's been an update in the investigation around Montreal's 12th femicide this year. Worth knowing what's happening in your neighbourhood, even when it's hard news.

If you're thinking lunch, there's some noise around food this week. Jacopo in Vieux-Montréal is doing tableside fettuccine inside a hollowed wheel of cheese if you want to get a little fancy. Fair warning though: Costco's recalling some Cadbury Oreo bars and Alfa Croissants over allergen and mould concerns, so check your freezer if you grabbed either recently.

Tonight's where it gets fun. Pink Floyd's *Dark Side of the Moon* is running at Le Dome with two seatings—5:30 PM and 7:00 PM—if you want an immersive experience. If soul's more your speed, *Vendredi Soul Motown Vibes* is happening at Le Balcon X Terrasse starting at 6:00 PM. And *The Lion King* is playing at Place des Arts at 7:30 if you've got family or just want the big Broadway energy.

But here's the real pull this weekend: the Vans Warped Tour kicks off today at Parc Jean-Drapeau at noon and runs through the weekend. If you've been waiting for live music and that festival buzz, this is it. The weather's cool but clear, so it's actually perfect for being outside for hours.

Have a good one. Catch you on the other side of the weekend.
