Sunday's for live shows, lake air, and the Roses at home.

Morning. It's a Sunday with real soft light coming through the clouds—19 degrees, mostly clear, with a UV index running high at 6.0, so if you're heading to the Mountain or out to one of the parks, sunscreen's your friend. You've got just over thirteen hours of daylight, and sunset's at 7:49 PM, so you can plan accordingly.

NDG's throwing down today—Patrimoine en fête is happening on Monkland Avenue as the neighbourhood marks 150 years. If you're in that corner of the city and want to feel the history of the place, that's your anchor for the afternoon.

For food, there's some solid options floating around. If you're feeling the old reliable, Schwartz's is always there. There's also this beautiful restaurant spot out near a lake that people are buzzing about as a date-night move—real dreamy setup if you're planning something with someone. And if you want something different, Jacopo over in Vieux-Montréal's doing tableside fettuccine inside a hollowed wheel of cheese, which is the kind of thing you either love or tell people about for years.

Sports-wise, the Roses de Montréal FC are home at Stade Boréale at 3:00 PM against Calgary Wild FC—if you're into women's soccer, that's your afternoon game.

This evening's got options. If live music is your move, Worakls is playing at Parc Jean-Drapeau at 4:00 PM (outdoors, so dress for the cool down after sunset). The Pink Floyd immersive thing—Dark Side of the Moon—is running at Le Dome with shows at 5:30 and 7:00 PM. The Lion King's got both a late matinee at 1:00 PM and an evening show at 6:30 PM at Place des Arts if you want theatre. There's also La Pièce Qui Tourne Mal at Théâtre Manuvie at 2:00 PM and Titanique over at Theatre St. Denis at 3:00 PM if you're in the mood for something smaller.

It's one of those Sundays where you can start outside during the day, move into the air-conditioned theatre if the mood hits, and finish the night catching something live. The light's on your side until almost 8, so get out early if you're planning it that way.

Have a good one.
