Sunday's mild and there's music everywhere tonight

Morning, it's a proper autumn Sunday in Montreal. We're sitting at 14°C with partly cloudy skies, which means you can actually leave the house without the jacket feeling like a betrayal. UV's at 5, so sunscreen's still worth it if you're outside for a chunk of the day. Sun's down at 6:43, so plan your evening plans with that in mind—you've got less than 12 hours of daylight left.

If you're heading South Shore way, know that the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge and key routes are locked down for cycling championships this weekend. Nothing's moving fast over there, so either stay put or find another way across.

On the political front, advance polls open today and tomorrow for the Quebec election, and things are getting heated—foreign interference is dominating the talk. The Chomedey race in Laval's heating up too, with an independent incumbent, QS, and PQ all fighting for the seat. If you've been thinking about voting early, today's your day.

Food-wise, a couple of recalls you should know about: Sakana-Ya Sushi has an undeclared mustard issue in products sold across the province, and Mini Danoise pastries are being pulled for undeclared milk, eggs, and soya. If either of those are in your fridge, check the labels. There was also a frozen dessert recall out of Victoriaville over allergens.
