Sunday's got opera, dance, and a sharp bite to the air.

It's a crisp one this morning: 6°C and clear, which is a proper drop from what we've had. UV's moderate at 4.0, so you're not getting burned out there, but that wind's going to find you. Good news is the sun's sticking around for a solid 11-plus hours of daylight, so if you're planning anything outdoors before dark, you've got room to move. Just dress for it—layers are your friend today.

Stay sharp on the roads if you're driving: there's réaménagement des voies happening, so the usual routes might have some shuffling. Nothing catastrophic, but leave a few extra minutes if you're heading anywhere on wheels.

It's been a heavy week for the city. Lyle Odelein, the old Habs defenceman, passed away at 58—that one stung a lot of people around here. And there's been some rough moments at the métro: a man was hit by a train at Lionel-Groulx station and is in critical condition. Two days out from the provincial election too, and things are getting loud—though plenty of folks, especially in Kahnawake, are sitting this one out.

If you're thinking about food, watch the recalls: Sakana-Ya Sushi has an issue with undeclared mustard in their products across Quebec, and there's a frozen dessert recall expanding out of Victoriaville over allergens. Worth checking your fridge. Also fair warning—restaurants across the country have been raising prices all year, and half are planning more hikes next year. It's rough out there for eating out.

Sunday's built for being out, though. Place des Arts has Turandot at 2:00 PM if you're an opera person, and Teac Damsa at 3:00 PM if you want dance. Tonight's got real options: Eris Drew's spinning at Parc Jean-Drapeau starting at 4:00 PM, which should be a good vibe if the cold doesn't chase people off. There's also Laura Ramoso at L'Olympia at 7:00 PM, or Muz 2026 over at Le Studio TD at the same time—rendez-vous des musiques métissées if you want something eclectic. Cabaret du Casino's got De Québec à Paris at 4:00 PM if you want something more intimate.

FC Supra plays Pacific FC at Stade Boréale in Laval at 4:00 PM if you're into football.

Last thing: couple of locals won a million bucks each in lottery draws recently. Not you? Not yet anyway.

Get out there before dark. Stay warm.
