Cold snap's here early—bundle up, watch the roads.

Morning. It's dropped overnight—we're at 4°C with mainly clear skies, so layer up if you're walking to the métro or heading across town. Sun sets at 6:25 PM, so you've still got a decent afternoon, but the light's going fast this time of year. UV's sitting at 3, which is moderate, so no heroics needed if you're outside.

On the roads: if you're South Shore–bound on the 25 tunnel, keep this Friday through next Tuesday blocked off your calendar—they're doing fire panel repairs and it'll be shut. Plan an alternate route now if that's your usual move. Meanwhile, down in Brossard, Route 134's flipping to reverse traffic for evening and night paving work, so if you're heading that way after work, expect some reshuffling. Give yourself a few extra minutes.

Quebec voters are at the polls today—the National Assembly is being chosen right now. Worth knowing if you're thinking about anything political on your feed.

Muslim women wrapped up an 18-week protest series against Quebec's secularism laws, a significant moment in the city. And snow's already falling in parts of the province—up to 10 cm possible this week—so winter's not waiting around.

On the food front, if you're eating out, heads up that restaurants across Canada bumped prices hard in 2026, and half are planning more hikes next year. Worth budgeting for. Two quick recalls to clock: Sakana-Ya Sushi has an undeclared mustard issue in products sold across Quebec, and a frozen dessert recall's expanded out of Victoriaville over allergen stuff. Check your fridge if you've grabbed either.

If you're cooking instead, Il Teatro just opened in the Quartier des Spectacles with proper Roman pasta and Italian wine—worth a visit if you're in the mood for that.

Tonight's got some real momentum. The Habs are home at Centre Bell at 7:00 PM against Carolina—the place will be buzzing. If hockey's not your lane, Pat Metheny's at L'Olympia at 7:30 PM for the jazz crowd, Isaiah Falls is running his Lvrs Paradise Side B tour at Le Studio TD at 7:00 PM, and there's Jazz Sessions au Balcon at Le Balcon starting at 7:00 PM. Music's firing on all cylinders tonight—pick your lane and stay warm getting there.

Catch you later.
