Sunday chill before the long weekend kicks in

Morning. It's a cool one out there—8°C, mostly cloudy, and the sun's dipping early at 6:16 PM, so if you're thinking of catching anything outdoors, plan accordingly. UV's moderate at 4.0, so no heavy sun protection needed, but dress in layers; that wind'll find you.

Couple of food things to flag before you head to the dep or the market. There's an E. coli alert on Fromagerie des Grondines tomme de Lachevrotière cheese if that's in your fridge. Same bacteria's showing up in hummus from Marché Sultan on Rue Jarry, so double-check your bags from there. Nothing catastrophic, but worth a look. There's also a recall on undeclared mustard in Sakana-Ya Sushi products across the province, and a frozen dessert recall out of Victoriaville over allergens—all the usual precautions apply.

Tonight's got some real options if you're feeling it. Beltran's playing Parc Jean-Drapeau at 4 PM if you want to catch that before dark—it's a day show, so you've got a window. Once the sun sets, the city's got live music scattered around: ATAVISTIA at Piranha Bar at 7:30, KIT KAT CLUB over at Cabaret du Casino de Montreal at 8, and WISHY at Bar le Ritz PDB at the same time. Pick your poison—electronic, cabaret, whatever vibe suits you. Most of that's indoor, which works fine given the temperature.

The bigger picture: we've got a long weekend coming with Thanksgiving, so this is your last real Sunday breathing room before things shift. Weather's supposed to clear up and get cooler, which means if you're thinking of a walk on the Mountain or a stroll through Old Montreal before things get properly cold, this weekend's still decent for it.

Head out if you've got plans. Be good to each other out there.
