Céline Dion unveiled a new song Friday titled "Bonjour, Pardon, Merci," her second new track in just a few months as she prepares for her much-anticipated return to the stage in Paris.
The song was written and composed by French singer-songwriter Ycare and produced by Renaud Rebillaud. Ycare said he drew inspiration from a Hawaiian prayer called Ho'oponopono that involves saying each morning, "Forgive me, thank you, and I love you," facing the ocean. "I then thought about the hardships each of us might endure," Ycare said in a statement. "So I began writing words of resilience and gratitude, accompanied by my guitar."
In April, Dion released "Dansons," signalling her eagerness to return to performing after nearly two years away. She is set to begin a residency at the Paris La Défense Arena on September 12, with 16 shows spanning through October. The venue can accommodate nearly 40,000 spectators. In early June, she announced ten additional concert dates at the same venue for May 2027.
Dion was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022, a rare condition that causes muscle stiffness and spasms. She has been absent from the stage since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic postponed her "Courage" tour.
