Following Marc Messier's death, Montrealers have been circulating some of the actor's most memorable performances across social media—scenes that have become part of Quebec's collective cultural memory.

One of the most celebrated clips is from the first Les Boys film, directed by Louis Saia. In the scene, Messier's character Bob delivers a rousing locker-room speech to rally his hockey team before facing a formidable opponent called the Blacks.

Messier also played Pierre Spencer, a corrupt financier, in Omertà 2, the second installment of Luc Dionne's crime drama. In that role, he shared scenes with veteran actor Aubert Pallascio.

In La petite vie, Messier's character Réjean appeared in a now-iconic scene where he tests a wine he plans to present to the Société des alcools du Québec. The exchange showcases his comedic timing and ability to milk humour from mundane domestic moments.

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, head of the Parti québécois, highlighted Messier's legacy in a post on social media, singling out the "dureté du mental" line as one of the actor's most resonant contributions to Quebec culture.
