Quebec's Empathie has added four major awards to its growing collection, winning big at the Banff International Media Festival's Rockies Awards.

The Crave series, created by Florence Longpré and directed by Guillaume Lonergan, took home the francophonie prize, the award for best dramatic series in a language other than English, the Rogers Prize for Excellence in Canadian Content, and the prestigious Grand Prix du Jury. In the jury prize category, Empathie stood out among hundreds of submissions from 45 countries.

The Quebec production has already built an international reputation. It won at Série Mania last year and took the Prix Europe 1 du Public at the Canneseries festival in April. The show has found audiences on both sides of the Atlantic—currently available on Crave in Canada, it will air on Noovo starting in September. A second season, co-produced with French broadcaster Canal +, is expected in 2027.
