Montreal Comiccon opened Friday, welcoming fans across three floors of the Palais des congrès for one of Canada's largest pop culture events.

The convention runs through the weekend with more than 200,000 square feet of exhibitors, artists and interactive experiences. Major film and television actors headlining the event include Lea Thompson, Ron Perlman, Robert Englund and Tom Welling, whose careers span Back to the Future, Hellboy, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Smallville. The celebrity lineup also includes Giancarlo Esposito, Diana Lee Inosanto, Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Harry Lloyd and Chris Noth, among dozens of others spanning film, television, animation and video games.

Nearly 60 comic creators are attending this year, including Jeph Loeb, Mike McKone and Tom Grummett. More than 100 independent artists are showcasing original work in Artist Alley. Gaming occupies multiple zones: the Indie Game Zone, the Asmodee Gaming Zone featuring CATAN, 7 Wonders and Star Wars, and the G.A.M.E. Montréal tabletop role-playing area for Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu adventures.

Saturday night features the Masquerade costume competition and Cosplay-Eh! 2026 Grand Finale on Sunday. Ticketed concerts include James Marsters Live on Friday, Galactic Empire on Saturday and Naheulband on Sunday. Included with admission are OVMF concerts celebrating Super Smash Bros. and Arcane, plus K-Pop Live Experience and Vocaparty.

The Expo Hall spans multiple levels with collectibles, toys, manga, comics and exclusive merchandise. Autograph sessions happen on the seventh floor, with stage presentations and gaming on the fifth.
