Montreal police are investigating the theft of approximately $40,000 worth of medical equipment from Sacré-Cœur Hospital. A woman reported the theft at a Montreal police station on May 2 at approximately 9:45 a.m., telling investigators that a man had gained access to a semi-restricted area of the hospital earlier that day and stole several pieces of medical equipment. Police have not disclosed the woman's connection to the case. Investigators say the suspect was seen leaving the scene following the theft. Surveillance footage has been obtained, and witnesses have been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made. In an email statement, Santé Québec Nord-de-l'Île-de-Montréal – Universitaire said it could not comment on the incident because the investigation remains ongoing.
