The Coalition Avenir Québec will campaign under the slogan "Let's move forward" as it heads into Quebec's election, which is expected to begin later this week, Premier and CAQ leader Christine Fréchette announced Monday.
In a video released on social media, Fréchette argued that "this is not the time to back down," citing rapid global change and threats to Quebec's economy and cost of living. "We must protect our workers, our families, our seniors. We must give everyone the means to go further. Above all, we must build the future of our nation. So, let's move forward," she said.
The slogan succeeds "Let's continue," which was the CAQ's platform in 2022 when the party, then led by François Legault, sought a second mandate.
The CAQ was the only major party that had not yet unveiled its slogan as the election approaches. The Parti Québécois is campaigning under "The choice of trust," while the Liberal Party of Quebec will use "Unite. Repair. Build." Québec solidaire's slogan is "It's possible," and the Conservative Party of Quebec will campaign under "Dare for real."
The election is set for October 5.
