Dr. Reddy's launches generic semaglutide in Canada
First company approved for generic version of weight-loss drug
<p>Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has launched its generic semaglutide injection in Canada following receipt of the Notice of Compliance from Health Canada on April 28, 2026. The company is the first to receive Health Canada approval for a generic semaglutide injection, making Canada the first G7 country to grant market authorization for a generic version of the popular weight-loss medication.</p>
