Montreal is heading into the weekend with summer heat Friday, clear skies Saturday, and persistent rain by Sunday.

Environment Canada forecasts a mix of sun and cloud for Friday, June 12, with cloudier conditions developing through the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 31°C, but humidity will push the humidex to around 39°C. A few showers are expected, along with the risk of thunderstorms late in the day. Southwest winds could gust as high as 60 km/h before easing. Any lingering showers should clear overnight, with an overnight low of 18°C.

Saturday brings a brighter start to the weekend: sunny skies and a high of 28°C, though humidity will make it feel closer to 30°C.

Conditions deteriorate Sunday, with periods of rain expected throughout the day and into the evening. Despite the wet weather, temperatures will remain warm at 28°C.

Looking ahead, Monday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a cooler high of 21°C. Sunshine returns Tuesday with a high of 24°C. Cloudier conditions and a chance of showers are forecast for Wednesday, with more rain expected Thursday as daytime temperatures hover in the mid-20s.

If outdoor plans are on the agenda, Friday and Saturday are your windows before the system moves in.
