Party leaders across Quebec made their final weekend campaign push Saturday with voting just two days away. The election is set for Monday, October 5, with polls open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, Parti Québécois Leader, outlined priorities for the first 100 days if elected, including cutting the gas tax by seven cents a litre, creating a government efficiency secretariat to target bureaucracy, launching education consultations this winter, and reducing immigration levels.

Charles Milliard, Quebec Liberal Party Leader, started Saturday in Lachute, west of Montreal, and campaigned in Trois-Rivières and Quebec City, where he warned voters against what he called "Bregret" — referencing Brexit — and called the PQ's separatist ambitions archaic.

Éric Duhaime, Conservative Party Leader, began the day in Quebec City. Recent polls show the Conservatives gaining two percentage points, and Duhaime's objectives include electing 12 deputies to the National Assembly and increasing party visibility.

Christine Fréchette, CAQ Leader, spent Saturday on Montreal's South Shore, campaigning in Saint-Hubert, Chambly, and Rougemont. The CAQ, positioned centre-right, has said that a referendum on separation from Canada is not a priority, and its campaign message focuses on reducing bureaucracy and making government efficient.

Ruba Ghazal, Québec Solidaire co-spokesperson, made a final pitch in Montreal around public service, with QS positioning itself with a different approach to government spending than the other major parties. The party's campaign promises focus on housing, public transit, and the cost of groceries.
