River shuttles return May 22 for Grand Prix weekend travel
Six vessels link Old Port to Longueuil, Boucherville, Varennes with trips every 45–60 minutes
Montreal's scenic river shuttle service returns just in time for Canadian Grand Prix weekend. The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain announced that the six ships connecting the Old Port of Montreal to Boucherville, Longueuil, and Varennes will launch on Friday, May 22.
First departures begin between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., with regular service every 45 to 60 minutes throughout the day. Single trips cost $6 until June 30, then $7 as of July 1—or are included free for holders of weekly or monthly transit passes covering the zones travelled.
New this year brings enhanced connectivity for commuters and tourists alike, offering an alternative to road and metro travel during one of the busiest weekends of the year.
