The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board accidentally circulated parents' sensitive personal information Thursday afternoon, then scrambled to recall the email.
An email sent to parents of Rosemere High School contained an Excel spreadsheet with names, birth dates, social insurance numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, country of birth, emergency telephone numbers and emergency contacts.
The school board attempted to recall the message shortly after realizing the error. "Do not open and immediately DELETE the email received today," a subsequent email to parents stated.
