Canada's manufacturing sales rise 3% on energy price boost

Statistics Canada reports manufacturing sales jumped three percent in March to $83.6 billion, the highest level since January 2025, driven primarily by higher energy prices. The petroleum and coal products sector led gains with a 22.7 percent increase.
