Support for the Coalition Avenir Québec has dropped significantly in a new Léger poll commissioned by TVA Nouvelles and the Journal de Montréal.

Just 38 per cent of respondents said they were satisfied with the current CAQ government, a decline from earlier polling. The party sits in third place with 21 per cent support, behind the Parti Québécois at 30 per cent and the Quebec Liberal Party at 27 per cent.

The timing coincides with last week's Auditor General report showing the CAQ's handling of the Northvolt issue cost Quebecers millions of dollars. The PQ remains unchanged from the previous poll at 30 per cent support among francophones, while the Liberals dropped one point to 27 per cent.

The survey was conducted online from June 12 to 15 among 1,014 respondents aged 18 and older, weighted by age, gender, native language, region, education level, and household composition. The margin of error is ±3.08%, 19 times out of 20.
