Saturday's yours—theatre, live music, and a baseball game waiting.

Morning. It's a proper Saturday—mild, mostly cloudy, UV's moderate at 5.0, and you've got nearly sixteen hours of daylight to burn. Temperature's sitting at 15, so you'll want a light layer if you're heading out early, but the coat stays home by afternoon.

If you're driving anywhere on the O-Train corridor, heads up: starting June 28, Line 4's cutting back weekend service, so worth knowing if you rely on it. Nothing disrupting you today, but worth marking on the calendar.

There's a couple of things worth knowing this morning. Real estate's been moving—new home sales nearly doubled in May compared to last year. And there's a new proposal floating around for mixed-use towers over by St. Laurent Shopping Centre, if you're curious about what's coming to that part of town.

If you're thinking food, you've got options depending on mood. Le Mien's doing hand-pulled noodle bowls in the ByWard Market if you want something quick and solid. Château Laurier's got Émilie's Terrace reopened for waterfront dining—that's the kind of Saturday move if you're looking to stretch lunch into an afternoon. Cactus Club's running a $9 smash burger and Frosé special for summer, which is hard to argue with on a day like this. And if you're hunting a patio later, the city's got plenty worth hitting, from York Street spots to some unexpected corners.

For the evening, there's a few threads to pull. The Ottawa Titans are home at Ottawa Stadium at 3:30—Quebec Capitales coming in, so if you're a baseball person, that's your afternoon sorted. Paper Moon Theatre's running Rock Of Ages at the Hard Rock Casino (both matinee at noon and evening show at 6:00 if you want to make a night of it), and there's the Ottawa Natural Classic happening all day at Algonquin Commons Theatre if live music or the event itself appeals. If you're after something weirder, Paranormal Cirque Nightmare's set up at St Laurent Shopping Centre at 6:30.

With sunset not till 8:54, you've got real evening left after dinner. Outdoor moves work perfectly—bring a sweater and you're golden. If you're heading to a patio or catching something outdoors, the warmth holds and you've got the light till nearly nine.

Get out. It's a good day for it.

Bonjour and enjoy.
