Rain's coming—but your Sunday's still solid indoors.

Warm day, wet afternoon ahead. Catch a show, grab lunch somewhere good, plan around the weather.

Rain's coming—but your Sunday's still solid indoors.

Morning's looking nice—20°C but feels warmer, clear enough to get out early. Heads up though: rainfall warning's in effect, so plan for wet by afternoon. You've got until sunset at 8:30 tonight to play it, but bring an umbrella if you're thinking outdoors. UV's low today anyway (3.0), so no drama there.

If you're taking the O-Train, keep in mind St-Laurent Station's going down for weeks to fix concrete that's crumbling. Plan your route around that if you usually swing through there—the work starts soon, so might as well adjust now.

On the news side, things are heavier this week. There's been real concern growing in Nepean after the Craig Henry stabbing—conversations about Islamophobia that matter and deserve attention. West Nile's also showing up in Ottawa mosquitoes as we hit peak season, so if you're outdoors at dusk, spray and cover up. And if you've been following the sexual assault investigations around the city, there's more reporting out this morning worth reading.

Food-wise, Somerset Street keeps evolving—Arlo just made it into a major international 50 Best Discovery guide (first Ottawa restaurant to land there), and Kozhi's the new spot in Chinatown if you want to check out what's shifting in the neighbourhood. If you're heading to Lansdowne Farmers' Market today before the rain hits, there's more than just overpriced eggs out there; worth a walk if you've got time. For dinner in or takeout, Spicy Man on Merivale does the real thing with heat levels you can actually choose from.

For tonight, you've got solid indoor options. *Mamma Mia!* is running matinee at 1:00 PM and evening at 7:30 PM at the National Arts Centre if you want to lean into the musical—good way to spend an afternoon and dodge the rain. If you're in the mood for something harder, Royale Lynn's playing Club SAW at 7:00 PM with metal that'll definitely keep you entertained while the weather does its thing outside.

Baseball's also on—Brockton Rox at Ottawa Titans, 3:30 PM at Ottawa Stadium, if you want to catch a game before the afternoon turns wet.

Enjoy the warm bit while it's here, and don't let the rain stop you from getting out. See you around.
