Tuesday quiet before the week picks up steam

It's 15°C and misty this morning, so grab a layer if you're heading out early. Nothing dramatic weatherwise, but keep that in mind if you're planning anything outdoors later—sunset's at 7:54 PM, so you've got decent daylight to work with. UV's moderate at 4.0, nothing to sweat.

Commute should be straightforward today. No major disruptions flagged, so you're good to move normally through the 613.

Couple things worth knowing as you move through the week. The municipal election's locked in for October 26, with early voting starting October 1—if you've got thoughts on where the city's heading, that timeline's your marker. And if you've been wondering about all that office space downtown, there's movement: Metcalfe Realty's converting that big tower at 85 Albert into 107 residential units. Worth watching how that reshapes the core.

On the food front, there's some real change happening in Westboro. Brassica, the spot everyone loved for banoffee pie, is closing after less than three years—if you haven't been, now's the time if it matters to you. On the flip side, there's momentum elsewhere: Kozhi just opened on Somerset West, a fine-dining fried chicken spot from Chef Teegavarapu Sarath Mohan that's getting noise. And if you haven't hit Little Bones yet, they're drawing solid crowds with upscale tacos and tequila cocktails. Over in Stittsville, Ritual on Main is changing hands but staying rooted in community, so that continuity's good to see.

Tonight's quiet—no live events starting, so it's a good night to eat somewhere solid if you're not cooking. Tomorrow's when things accelerate: the Wiggles hit the city Wednesday and Thursday, and Luke Bryan's rolling through Thursday too. If you've got kids or you're just feeling it, get ahead on tickets if that's your move. Thursday's also got soccer on, so there's actual sport happening.

Use tonight to plan the rest of your week. It's the kind of Tuesday that lets you breathe before things shift. Head out if you need to, but there's no rush.

Stay solid out there.
