Wednesday's mild — get out if you can, evening's got theatre.

It's 16°C and cloudy this morning — comfortable enough that you won't need much as you head out. Sun sets at 7:39 tonight, so if you're thinking of getting outside after work, you've got decent light. UV's running at 5, which is moderate — nothing that'll sneak up on you, but the usual sunscreen logic still applies.

Couple of things worth knowing on the commute side. There've been two serious collisions involving vehicles hitting poles in the last couple days — one on Fallowfield Road that left two people badly hurt early Tuesday. Also, heads up if you're anywhere near Trim Road: a 20-year-old got charged with stunt driving after hitting 135 km/h out there. The usual — nothing closed that I'm seeing, but just keep your eyes open and your speed honest.

On the food front, things are moving. Ruby's just opened in the ByWard Market with small plates and serious wine focus, which is worth a look if you're thinking of treating yourself. If you've been to Arlo on Somerset, you'll know it's come a long way from a pandemic wine bar into something real; six years in and it's still worth the trip. And there's a new spot called Kozhi on Somerset West — fine-dining fried chicken, if that's your lane. The Canadian Culinary Championship is also expanding next year to 20 chefs in a team format, so the local food community's got momentum right now.

For tonight: Gatineau's got *Titanique* — the Céline Dion parody musical — running at the Theatre du Casino du Lac-Leamy at 8 PM. It's theatre, it's live, and it's exactly the kind of thing to drag yourself out for on a work night if you need an excuse to get out. Weather's fine for the drive across the river.

One more thing: we've got the Trois-Rivières Aigles playing the Ottawa Titans at the Stadium at 3:30 PM if you're free to catch some soccer during the day.
