Clear and cold Sunday — live music and hockey on tap.

Morning. It's 1°C and clear — brilliant light, but you'll want a proper jacket. Sunset's at 6:01 PM, so if you're planning to be outside, that window closes early. UV's sitting at 3, so no drama there, but the cold's real.

A couple of things worth knowing today. Ottawa Police have temporarily suspended Crime Stoppers after a data breach affecting 1.5 million tips — if you've ever called in, just be aware. On a heavier note, the city's on pace for its deadliest traffic year in a decade; 32 fatalities so far. Worth keeping in mind if you're driving anywhere today.

Police are also asking for help locating two missing Ottawa-area teenagers and identifying three assault suspects near the Canadian Tire Centre, so keep an eye on your phone for those alerts.

If you're looking to eat, Zen Bowl just opened in Centretown with Shanghai soup dumplings and pan-fried buns — worth the stop if you're in that part of town. And if you've heard about Kat Ferries swapping the grueling kitchen hours for something more sustainable at a butcher shop, that's the kind of local career pivot worth following.

This afternoon, head out to Centre Slush Puppie at 3 PM for the Gatineau Olympiques taking on Blainville-Boisbriand — good hockey, close by, and you'll be back before the light dies.

Tonite's yours if you want to get out. Allison Russell with AHI is playing the National Arts Centre at 8 PM if you're leaning folk. If you want metal, Boltcutter, Misery Whip, Prosector, and Dismantled are at Rum Runners at 7 PM. And if classic rock's your speed, Styx is across the river at Theatre du Casino du Lac-Leamy at 8 PM. All indoor, all warm — pick your mood.

Stay sharp out there today. Early dark means earlier planning.
