Brianne Jenner, a decorated Olympian and former Ottawa Charge captain, has been named grand marshal for Capital Pride's parade on August 30.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. from the intersection of Booth and Wellington streets, marking a new starting location this year due to ongoing construction near City Hall.

Jenner, 35, is one of Canada's most accomplished hockey players, with two Olympic gold medals, two Olympic silver medals, and multiple world championship titles. She finished her time with the Charge as the team's all-time leading scorer and helped lead them to two Walter Cup finals. Off the ice, she was known for her community involvement, including work with the Capital City Condors, an adaptive hockey program for athletes with special needs.

In June, Jenner signed a three-year contract with PWHL Hamilton after the expansion club made her its first-ever signing. The move brings the Oakville native closer to home after three seasons in Ottawa.

Capital Pride's 2026 theme is "Together, We Shine."
