Stratford-Fox Run Distillery planning new industrial facility with retail and bar in Richmond
The Kanata-based distillery has submitted a proposal to build two light-industrial buildings at 5923 Ottawa Street in the village of Richmond, including a tasting room and warehouse production space.

Stratford-Fox Run Distillery, which currently operates a facility on Silver Seven Road in Kanata, is proposing to expand with a new industrial complex on a 2.27-hectare lot at 5923 Ottawa Street in the village of Richmond.
The proposal includes two one-storey buildings. The first would contain 738 square metres of space with four offices, a tasting room, retail store, and small bar with patio seating. The second building, a 1,042-square-metre warehouse, would house the distillery and brewery production.
According to the project's design brief, the buildings will have a "contemporary industrial aesthetic" inspired by repurposed warehouses and factories, aiming to be "raw and utilitarian" while engaging the community.
The property sits within an industrial area, with VIA Rail tracks to the north and residential development slated for vacant land to the south across Ottawa Street. The proposal includes 11 vehicle and six bicycle parking spots for the retail building, and nine vehicle and six bicycle spots for the warehouse.
Stratford-Fox Run currently operates on Silver Seven Road alongside its sister company Pistols Brewery. The broader Stratford-Fox Run Group also runs SFR Equestrian, a hunter-jumper facility in North Gower, and Broncs and 'Tonks, a rodeo and country music festival in the city's east end.
