Ottawa police are investigating after loose pills were found scattered in a suspicious manner at Blue Willow Park in Orléans on Saturday morning.
A resident reported the discovery on August 22 at the park, located southeast of the intersection of Innes and Navan roads. Officers located pills of various sizes and colours scattered near bushes and trees, on the grass, and concealed inside acorns.
Police advised parents, caregivers, and pet owners visiting the area to exercise caution and closely monitor children and animals while there. The substance composition and toxicology results for the pills have not yet been determined.
