Ontario Provincial Police confirmed Friday that the death of a 61-year-old woman found in Greater Madawaska Township earlier this month was a homicide.
Forensic examination determined that Geraldine Fulcher of Calabogie died from foul play. Her body was discovered around 6 p.m. on May 6 on Lanark Road in Greater Madawaska Township, approximately 100 kilometres west of Ottawa.
Investigators characterized the incident as targeted, with no indication of a broader threat to the public. OPP asked the public to refrain from sharing unconfirmed information, citing potential harm to the victim's family and the investigation's integrity.
