Jake Sanderson will make his preseason debut for the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, September 26, confirmed late in the afternoon. Thomas Chabot is also returning to play after missing the first two exhibition games while his wife Marion awaits the birth of their first child.
Head coach Travis Green will deploy a full-strength roster as the Senators close out their preseason schedule with a home game against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday and a road game at Bell Centre in Montreal. Shane Pinto, the third-line centre, missed his second straight practice Friday and is not expected to play in either game.
Sanderson signed autographs at the Kraft Hockeyville Game against the Habs in Trois-Rivières on September 21. The defence pairings will feature Chabot alongside Spence, Sanderson with Stanley, and Kleven with Yakemchuk, while Ullmark and Parsons share goaltending duties. The roster deadline is set for September 28.
