Scott Street closes for two weeks starting Monday for watermain repairs

Scott Street will close to traffic between Bayview Station Road and Parkdale Avenue starting Monday, August 10 at 7 a.m. for approximately two weeks of watermain repair work that began in late July.
Traffic will be detoured via Bayview Station Road north, Burnside Avenue and Parkdale Avenue in both directions. Residents and businesses in the area will maintain local access throughout the closure.
OC Transpo bus stops 7332, 8045, 7334 and 7333 will be temporarily closed, with temporary stops added along the detour route. Routes 12, 13, 57, 61 and 75 may experience delays due to construction and detours. Pedestrian access will be maintained in both directions, but cyclists will be detoured via the same route as vehicles or can walk the pedestrian path.
The city is advising residents and commuters to allow extra time when travelling through the area and to follow detour signs and posted speed limits. This marks the second phase of work on Scott Street after initial repairs began last month.
