Shots fired between vehicles on Merivale Road injure one person

Ottawa police responded to gunfire at a commercial complex on the 1600 block of Merivale Road on July 5 around 7:20 p.m. after reports of a fight between two large groups of people.

One passenger in a vehicle was struck by a bullet and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people were taken into police custody but were later released after further investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
