The Calgary Stampede Midway is hosting a discount food event for one evening only this week, offering sample-sized portions of dozens of menu items for $5 each.
On Thursday, July 9, from 5 p.m., Stampede goers can pick up midway favourites at the Midway Twilight event. The list spans comfort foods, international flavours, and Stampede classics: All Beef Hot Dogs, Amsterdam Cone Fries, Brownie Cake Donuts, California Inari Sushi, Chicken Fingers, Cotton Candy, Dole Whip, Fresh Cut Fries, HK Style Bagged Noodles, Mini Donuts, Nutella Churros, Onion Fingers, Spring Rolls, and many others.
In total, over 40 different sample-sized dishes will be available at $5 apiece from vendors across the Midway. The event gives Stampede visitors a chance to taste a variety of offerings without breaking the bank — a rare opportunity during a festival where eating costs can easily exceed a typical meal price.
