Costco pulls Alfa Croissants nationwide over potential mould contamination

Costco Canada is recalling Alfa Croissants with cocoa cream filling due to potential mould on the product. The recall affects specific lot codes: 10726 and 08626. The affected packages — boxes of 24 individually wrapped pieces — were sold at Costco Business Centre and on its website between June and July 2026.

If you have the recalled product, do not consume, serve, or distribute it. Contact Distribution M.F.G Inc. at 1 (877) 644-5558 or by email for more information. The company apologizes for the inconvenience and asks that you pass the recall notice along to anyone who may have purchased the croissants.

This is part of a broader pattern of food recalls in recent weeks. Last month, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced a recall of Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo Candy bars due to undeclared pistachio, with reported reactions linked to consumption. On Saturday, Hershey's Canada voluntarily recalled certain lots of Hershey's Kisses Creamy Milk Chocolate in 200g and 104g bags for potentially containing undeclared almonds. Those affected lot codes begin with 51G and 51H, and the products were distributed across Canada between May 6 and July 28, 2026.
