Butterfield Acres in northwest Calgary (245077 Rocky Ridge NW) is home to sheep, pigs, ponies, llamas, and more. Guests can take tractor rides around the property and enjoy pony rides. Open Monday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting at $16.49.
The Calgary Farmyard in Rocky View County (284022 Township Rd. 224) offers a traditional farm experience with an interactive petting zoo featuring micro Highland cows, goats, lambs, bunnies, and donkeys. Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary in Cochrane (263156 Range Rd. 53) is home to more than 55 wolfdogs and offers visitors the chance to walk through the property, see wolfdogs up close, and hand-feed them. Open Thursday to Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting at $22.
Cobbs Adventure Park in northeast Calgary (1500 84th St. NE) features a collection of rescued exotic animals including tortoises, porcupines, and iguanas, plus rides, games, and outdoor activities. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting at $21.95.
Granary Road in Foothills County (226066 112th St. W.) is a 36-acre outdoor park with interactive exhibits, gardens, play areas, and a Farmyard Friends area where visitors can meet goats, alpacas, miniature ponies, sheep, pigs, and ducks. Open Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting at $17.95.
