Beneath the Arch names seven acts for 2026–27 concert series

Tickets are now on sale for the Beneath the Arch concert series' 2026–27 season. Run by a non-profit society at Flare n' Derrick Community Hall, the Diamond Valley series presents seven shows annually, emphasizing rising Albertan and Canadian performers across blues, bluegrass, contemporary, and classical styles.
Revenue from the concerts supports community initiatives, including a young performing artists' bursary.
The lineup includes:
Steve Dawson and Joachim Cooder — Saturday, Sept. 19. Dawson is renowned for pedal steel, slide, and fingerstyle guitar; Cooder (son of American roots legend Ry Cooder) plays percussion, keyboards, and mbira.
The Fugitives — Saturday, Oct. 17. Winners of seven Canadian Folk Music Awards, known for unforgettable live shows with complex harmonies and top-notch musicianship.
Billie Zizi and Band — Saturday, Nov. 21. An exciting contemporary roots voice with masterful vocals and an ethereal Americana vibe.
John Wort Hannam Trio — Saturday, Jan. 23, 2027. A roots-fueled troubadour with three Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Juno nomination.
Dave McCann and the Firehearts — Saturday, Feb. 27, 2027. McCann's roots music echoes gospel, blues, country, and rock and roll.
Ryan McNally Trio — Saturday, March 20, 2027. A multi-instrumentalist known for interpreting traditional acoustic blues, jazz, and old-time music.
Diyet and the Love Soldiers — Saturday, April 17, 2027. Americana and alternative country rooted in northern life and Indigenous experience.
