More than 40 bands will take the stage at Waynestock, the annual music festival that returns to the ghost town of Wayne in the Canadian Badlands over Labour Day long weekend, September 4–7.
The festival runs at Last Chance Saloon, 555 Jewell St., in Wayne Valley near Drumheller. Friday, September 4 runs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday both run 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. The lineup spans rock, blues, country and bluegrass.
Waynestock launched in 2015 and has drawn more than 2,000 attendees in past years. The festival offers onsite camping for tents and RVs with parking, restaurant access and basic amenities. The attached Rosedeer Hotel has themed rooms—Miner's Room, Cowboy Room, Music Room and others. In-house smoked meats and local craft beer are available throughout the weekend.
Pancake breakfasts will be served Saturday and Sunday mornings by donation. Free onsite parking is available, and a complimentary shuttle runs between Last Chance Saloon and Dinosaur RV Park in Drumheller with multiple drop-off points along the route.
Day passes are $40.95 for Friday, $77.95 for Saturday and $77.95 for Sunday. A three-day weekend pass costs $174.95. Camping passes are $69.95 and are separate from festival admission. For camping arrangements, contact Last Chance Saloon directly.
