Cochrane turns into a movie set this week as Calgary-based production shoots tactical thriller
The Town of Cochrane is hosting film production at the Lions Event Centre through Tuesday, with additional street filming Wednesday that may cause brief traffic delays.

Parts of Cochrane are transforming into a film set this week, with Calgary-based META Productions filming its new series "Door Kicker" at multiple locations in the town through Wednesday, September 2.
According to the Town of Cochrane, film production activity is taking place at the Cochrane Lions Event Centre on August 31 and September 1. Residents and people near the centre may hear sounds of simulated gunfire or notice actors in tactical or police-style clothing as part of the production. Firearm props and replica emergency vehicles may also be visible.
"Anyone who notices filming activity in these areas should be aware that it is part of a scheduled film production and not an emergency," the Town says.
On Wednesday, September 2, the production moves to the streets. Filming is planned on Carolina Crescent and Mountain Street after 6 p.m., and on 4th Avenue to the Texas Gate after 6 p.m. Anyone driving in those areas could encounter slight traffic delays, including rolling traffic stops of approximately five to 10 minutes while filming is underway.
The production received all necessary approvals, including a noise exemption approval and notification to the RCMP. While the Town has not revealed the full scope of the production, Alberta currently has several productions underway, including the fourth season of "My Life with the Walter Boys," season 20 of "Heartland," and "The Magnificent Seven."
