Calgary hit with May long snowstorm as winter returns
Up to 15 cm expected Saturday as temperatures hover near freezing
Parts of Calgary woke to heavy snowfall Saturday morning as an unseasonable winter system swept through the city during the May long weekend. Environment Canada meteorologist Kevin Stanfield said around 15 centimetres is possible across the city, though conditions could wrap up by afternoon. With temperatures largely hovering near the freezing mark, conditions are cold enough to support light snowfall across large swaths of Calgary.
