A major mixed-use development is underway in northeast Calgary's Saddle Ridge neighbourhood, adding hundreds of homes alongside significant retail and commercial space.

Saddle Ridge Crossing, led by developer Creation Communities, is planned for full buildout across multiple phases. When complete, the development will include more than 600 condo units and approximately 200,000 sq. ft. of retail space — housing shops, restaurants, medical offices, business services and other commercial offerings.

Phase one is currently underway and will include 120 condo suites across two six-storey residential buildings, and approximately 83,000 sq. ft. of commercial space across two three-storey buildings. A building permit for one of the three-storey commercial buildings was issued by the City of Calgary on August 12, 2026. The phase will feature 275 parking stalls, with condos ranging in size and offering amenities like heated underground parking, storage lockers, and a pet wash station.

The location sits near the Saddletowne CTrain Station, giving residents access to Calgary's transit network. The site is also close to major routes like Metis Trail and Stoney Trail, with Calgary International Airport and CrossIron Mills reachable in about 10 minutes by car. Residents will also have access to Prairie Winds Park, the Genesis Centre and Saddle Ridge's pathway network.

The development aims to create a community where residents can access everyday services close to home.
